Protecting Private Information

Consultation on private information

Recognizing that protecting private information is an extremely important social responsibility for every company, Tamron always complies with related laws and regulations, properly handling private information. Tamron acquires private information within the scope of purposes clearly defined before and through adequate measures. In addition, we only use private information thus acquired for the purpose defined in advance. Tamron may supply private information to third parties to whom Tamron entrusts services, but such information is supplied only within the scope necessary for attaining the purpose defined beforehand. Tamron properly administers such operations to prevent inadvertent disclosure or use for other purposes.
In order to protect private information, Tamron takes measures to prevent the leakage of private information including establishing a privacy protection policy, refining regulations related to handling private information, and setting up an office for private information management.

Information Security

In order to enhance information security, Tamron strives to reinforce our information security structure, providing necessary educational opportunities to employees. For example, in March 2006, Tamron created our Electronic Mail Management Regulations to enhance information security concerning handling electronic mail. Tamron periodically reviews regulations and provides educational opportunities to employees to prevent the loss and leakage of private information.
