May 12, 2011, Saitama, Japan - Tamron Co., Ltd. (President & CEO, Morio Ono; Headquarters, Saitama City), announced the releasing of the SP 70-300mm F/4-5.6 Di USD (Model A005) *1 for Sony mounts. This telephoto zoom lens, a commemorative model for Tamron's 60th anniversary as a manufacturer of precision optical equipment, is being acclaimed for its category-leading high resolution and ease of use.

The model features an Extra Low Dispersion (XLD)*2 lens made from high-grade materials, delivering best-in-class resolution. This full-35mm- premium telephoto zoom lens also has the built-in Ultrasonic Silent Drive (USD) *3.
